Cinnamon Gulch originates near the Continental Divide at an elevation of 3600 m and flows approximately 2 km before joining Peru Creek, the site of a companion study (Runkel et al., 2013). Peru Creek discharges into the Snake River, which flows into Dillon Reservoir, a water supply for the City of Denver ( Munk and Faure, 2004 ).
